  • We did it!

Monday 15 October 2012 We write to you - in pieces but elated - from the OxjamBrum HQ collective bed. Good tidings we bring to you and your kin (see what we did there?)... You see, following a fifteen hour day delivering the Takeover Festival and then eight hours of partying, plus four hours of sleep then a team breakfast (at 6pm), a few hours of counting money, a pizza and beer then twelve hours of sleep...we...

OxjamBrum Takeover Festival

Welcome to the wonderful world of OxjamBrum…

We’re music promoters and fundraisers based in the lovely city of Birmingham, the team behind the annual OxjamBrum Takeover Festival in October, as well as gigs on barges, in tennis huts and on buses. We’re all volunteers with a massive passion for live music, creativity and raising money for Oxfam’s vital work around the world.

And you know what? That ‘we’ could be you!

Oxjam HQ are currently recruiting for the OxjamBrum 2013 Takeover Manager(s). Are you passionate about this incredible city and its wonderful music and culture? How would you like to raise thousands of pounds for the lifesaving work of Oxfam GB? Or even better, how would you like the most exhilarating ride of your life?

 Then go on a rollercoaster!

Then have a look-see at what it involves and how to apply here, and if you have any questions then send them to Team 2012 via the facebook page here. We can stress just how great an opportunity this is to you…

The OxjamBrum Takeover Festival 2012 raised £10,667 for the lifesaving work of Oxfam and delivered one of the best days of music this city has ever seen. Headlined by Scott Matthews, Polarbear and Paul Murphy, it was the fourth most successful Oxjam festivals in the UK (and the top three were all in the moneybags home counties / London) and the best ever held in Birmingham. Check out the short film below – soundtracked by wonderful Birmingham collective Boat to Row – to get a flvour of what went down last year, and what you could do… Also read about the Takeover here and here.

For the final time from Team 2012,

LOVEYOUBYE.
