Don't Be Stupid . . .
Sep 22nd
Here at OxjamBrum HQ, we have been working away at getting ready for the big event on the 24th October – we are all VERY excited! We hope you are too. By now you will have heard all about ‘Here and Now’, the Oxfam Climate Change Campaign that all the Oxjam events are promoting. If you need some more info, take a peep at http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved/campaign/climate_change/
Have you ever wondered why the campaign message is ‘Here and Now’? Why we are being prompted to take action now rather than later against climate change?
Well, ponder no longer! On the 3rd October, All Saints Church Hall, Kings Heath will be hosting 6 showings of the amazing ‘The Age of Stupid’ drama documentary. It is based around an older man in a devastated 2055 looking back over archive footage from 2008, asking the question: ‘why didn’t we stop climate change while we had the chance?”
‘The Age of Stupid’ is a must see for all. But, don’t take our word for it! Come along on Saturday 3rd October and see for yourself. Get in touch and show your interest by e-mailing maud@birminghamfoe.org.uk. Viewing is free, but donations will be accepted at the event. We hope to see you there.
Love and blue kisses OxjamBrum HQ x
